Rider Nation is feeling confident about the team’s chances going into Saturday’s rival matchup against the Calgary Stampeders.
The confidence clearly stems from Bo Levi Mitchell’s knee not being 100 per cent, the Riders run game showing promise, Christion Jones ability to return kicks and the Riders defence being on par with what the Stampeders are going to bring.
Add to that it’s a sell out at Mosaic Stadium and Rider Nation feels the recipe is right for the Stamps to drop their first game.
Sure. I’m with ya, all the way to one thing. Brandon Bridge trying to outscore Bo Levi Mitchell against comparable defences.
The Riders continue to say how disciplined and mistake-free the Stampeders play and that is why it is so tough to beat them. We haven’t seen that clean, disciplined play from the Riders yet.
Don’t get me wrong. I anticipate an exciting and close game. The Stamps are favoured by a touchdown and I’ll gladly take the Riders against the spread but not when it comes to the winner.
20-17 Calgary as the Riders show they’re close, but not close enough.
