A 35-year-old man from the Regina area is dead after drowning at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park Saturday night.
The RCMP said the man was at a family gathering on the beach when around 7:30 p.m. he entered the water and began struggling.
Police said a bystander attempted to rescue the man by bringing him to shore, where multiple people — including Mounties — administered CPR.
However, when STARS Air Ambulance arrived on scene, the man was pronounced dead.
