Regina police are looking for more information after a man was mugged and had his truck stolen along the Dewdney Strip Saturday morning.
Just after 5 a.m., police said a 32-year-old man was walking from a nightclub to his vehicle when he was physically assaulted by a group of people on the 2300 block of Dewdney Avenue. He was hurt in the incident, but didn’t need medical attention.
During the assault, the suspects stole his wallet, keys, phone and shirt.
The victim couldn’t provide descriptions of his assailants.
The man’s truck, which had been parked in an alley behind the bar, was later recovered, damaged, that same morning on the 1400 block of Argyle Street.
Police believe the stolen truck was also involved in a hit and run with a parked vehicle on the 1500 block of Garnet Street. Fragments matching the truck were left behind at the scene of the collision.
As police continue to search for suspects, anyone with information about either of these incidents is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
