A Saskatoon police officer suffered an unfortunate injury during a stolen vehicle investigation Saturday evening.
The officer was poked with an uncapped needle after conducting a vehicle search searching in the 500 block of Avenue J South.
That search also uncovered a shotgun and bear spray.
Police say the officer received medical treatment in hospital, but will need further treatments for the injury.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested after a short foot chase.
The second suspect, a 42-year-old man was captured with the help a K9 team. He was treated at the scene by paramedics for dog bits.
The two suspects are facing over 20 criminal charges ranging from weapons and firearms offences, obstruction, possession of stolen property and outstanding warrants.
Both appeared in front of a Justice of the Peace on Sunday.
