The Pursuit Review Board and an independent observer are now investigating Monday’s crash during a Regina police chase.
Around 8:20 a.m., officers were pursuing a suspicious vehicle southbound on Lewvan Drive when it crashed into another vehicle turning onto Fourth Avenue.
The driver of the suspicious vehicle fled on foot immediately after the collision and was arrested a short time later. The suspect was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, police have clarified it was the driver of the vehicle hit who was taken to hospital with minor injuries, which have since been upgraded to serious in nature.
A 28-year-old man is now being charged with flight causing bodily harm while pursued by a police officer.
He made his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
