No more excuses for the Riders over the next four games as they finish off an important six game stretch that they’ve started 0-2.
Zach Collaros is back and healthy and with every team there are injuries, so with left tackle Terran Vaughn and linebacker Derrick Moncrief injured, the Riders aren’t the only ones impacted by injuries.
With Collaros back at the helm, the Riders need to start knocking off the teams ahead of them in the standings or it’s going to be a race for a crossover spot and a fifth straight year without a home playoff game after having five in a seven year span from 2007-13.
Calgary, B.C., and a home and home against Winnipeg stares at them and dropping the first two of this stretch isn’t helping confidence.
The take away, aside from a terrible first quarter against Calgary, is the Riders held in against both the Stamps and the Eskimos. They can compete with them but being competitive isn’t good enough with the amount invested in this era of Rider football.
It’s time to win and win now.
