The Riders have added another Canadian receiver to the fold.
Saskatchewan announced Monday the team has acquired Brian Jones from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2019 CFL Draft.
From Enfield, Nova Scotia, Jones was originally selected by the Argos fourth overall in the 2016 draft. Through his first three seasons, the 24-year-old has 12 receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown in 24 games.
The move will add depth to the Riders receiving corps after Caleb Holley suffered an apparent knee injury in their win Sunday against Calgary, and with the recent release of Duron Carter.
The team also added Canadian Rob Bagg back to the team recently after releasing him before the start of the regular season.
