Arnold Sieben was jolted awake by police pounding on his front door Sunday morning after gunshots rang out on his block.
When he opened the door, officers told him shots were fired in the area and they were looking for information.
“I didn’t hear anything because I was sleeping at the time, but my son had said he heard gunshots, which sounded like they were just outside the side of our house between us and the neighbour,” Sieben remembered telling police.
When he looked out his windows, Sieben said he saw at least a dozen officers combing his street, searching for evidence.
“It never ever crossed my mind that stuff like that would be happening on our street; usually it’s so quiet and most people tend to know each other,” Sieben explained. “To get stuff like that happening with guns and stuff, it’s kind of frightening.”
According to police, multiple bullets pierced through a home in the 600 block of Garnet Street around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
No one inside was hurt.
The incident is still under investigation.
