Regina police have a suspect in custody after a stand-off involving the SWAT team in the Regent Park neighbourhood early Tuesday morning.
Police maintained a large perimeter around the 400 block of Connaught Street between First Avenue North and Second Avenue North for several hours as crisis negotiators and the SWAT team worked to apprehend a high-risk suspect.
Charges have not been announced at this time, but police confirmed the initial call was related to a larger investigation.
Several other people were at the same location and taken into police custody but officers have not determined the potential involvement in the investigation at this time.
