After the Riders’ third straight win, fans are excited but seem cautiously optimistic as Saskatchewan heads into the stretch to the playoffs now that the calender has turned to September.
The optimism is that they are winning and are 4-1 when Zach Collaros starts and finishes games at quarterback.
The caution is still whether or not Collaros can outscore offences like Calgary and Edmonton when it comes to November.
Can the Riders continue to rely on defensive and special teams touchdowns to help boost an offence that averages less than 20 points per game.
The hope is that Collaros is just starting to feel out this offence and big things are ahead, especially with a healthy Marcus Thigpen and rising stars like Jordan Williams-Lambert, Shaq Evans as well as a new spark Kyran Moore.
The thing about having cautious optimism at this stage in the season, there is a lot more time the Riders can remove any doubt.
