Advance voting for the Regina Northeast by-election begins Thursday.
Residents who can’t make it to the polls on September 12, can vote at one of two advance polls set up.
These advance polls are located at Uplands Community Centre and the Glen Elm branch of the Regina Public Library and are open for five days.
Thursday: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: Noon to 7 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 7 p.m.
Monday: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Voters are told it’s not necessary to line up and are encouraged to take advantage of the 35 hours of voting time available. Most lines at advance polls are because of voters arriving early, before the doors open.
Voters should have already received their voter information card in the mail. Eligible voters who haven’t received theirs can register at the advance poll. Voters are also reminded to bring ID.
The Regina Northeast by-election is being held six months after the seat was left vacant after Sask. Party MLA Kevin Doherty resigned.
