Polls have closed in the Regina Northeast byelection.
Six candidates were on the ballot to replace former finance minister Kevin Doherty.
The candidates are Yens Pederson for the NDP, Gary Grewal for the Saskatchewan Party, Reid Hill for the Liberals, Ken Grey for the Progressive Conservatives, Jessica Schroeder for the Green Party of Saskatchewan and Mark Regel for the Western Independence Party.
It is the first byelection in Regina since Scott Moe became premier and Ryan Meili took over as leader of the NDP. Both are hoping for a win.
