The accusations come through the College of Physicians of Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
According to documents from the college, Dr. Mishack Zwane was working at Natural Health Services in Saskatoon between early January and mid-February in 2017. That clinic specializes in access to medical marijuana.
During that time, Zwane is accused of not going through the proper steps and assessments to prescribe patients pot. Some of these steps include providing follow-up care for patients’ illnesses, and meeting requirements for keeping medical records.
Zwane is also accused of over-billing for services given to patients during that time.
These accusations are detailed in a list of charges from the college, none of them have been proven and a hearing has yet to be scheduled.
