Two people are facing charges after a SWAT call in a southeast Regina neighbourhood Sunday morning.
Regina police’s SWAT team, crisis negotiators and canine unit were dispatched to the area around the 2900 block of Lindsay Street, just a few blocks northeast of Candy Cane Park, around 8:30 a.m.
Two people were arrested including a 17-year-old woman who is charged with assaulting a police officer. A 21-year-old man is also charged with breach of probation and possession of a gun while prohibited.
The police thank residents in the area for their co-operation “in bringing these events to a peaceful conclusion.”
