Regina police are investigating a failed carjacking and mugging with a gun and knife late Wednesday night.
Officers were called to the parking lot of F.W. Johnson High School at 10 p.m. after a group of guys who were hanging out by a car reported being approached by three male suspects. The suspects got out of another vehicle brandishing a knife and a gun and demanded that the group get out of the car and hand over their personal belongings.
The suspects then assaulted two victims before attempting to steal their car. They fled the scene after an unsuccessful attempt to drive away in the stolen car.
The victims only had minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
