A 37-year-old Regina man is accused of trying to smuggle drugs into the Regina Correctional Centre last Wednesday.
According to police, the man arrived at their headquarters, claiming to be surrendering to authorities for breaking curfew.
Police found his actions suspicious and thought he might have been hiding drugs in his body.
They took him to hospital, where they found the contraband.
Charges are pending while police continue to investigate.
