The NHL season starts and here are few bold predictions I feel could become reality this season.
The Buffalo Sabres finally look like a team ready to take advantage of some top picks, taking the biggest jump from 62 points last year to 80 or more. Do they make the playoffs? That’s tough to predict in a strong division, but they’ll be in the conversation.
Edmonton makes it back to the playoffs but it’ll be the Flames in the Western Conference Final.
Toronto can’t get past Tampa on the Atlantic side of the bracket.
And while picking Tampa to make the Stanley Cup Final… here is my bold prediction out of the West.
St. Louis. Added depth up front and it will all rely on their goaltender, but that is the common theme for all teams in the West.
But like Alexander Ovechkin last year, it’ll be Steven Stamkos’ day in the spotlight as a Stanley Cup Champ.
