RCMP responded early Friday morning to the scene of a crash involving three semi trucks heading west on Highway 1 near McLean.
As of 8 a.m., two semis were in opposite ditches and one was blocking the westbound passing lane of the highway. There are no reports of injuries.
Traffic was still moving slowly but was down to one lane heading west.
Police described the roads as very hazardous and warned drivers to expect delays in the area until early afternoon.
On Friday morning the Highway Hotline reported winter driving conditions with some slush, loose snow and icy or slippery sections on many highways in south-central and southeastern Saskatchewan.
Texters to the CJME newsroom also reported snow-covered and icy sections on Highway 13 near Weyburn.
