The Regina Thunder defence pitched a second-half shut out to help the team clinch a playoff spot in Winnipeg Sunday afternoon.
The Thunder, who move to 4-3 on the season, defeated the Winnipeg Rifles 31-17. The Thunder swept the regular-season series with the Rifles, so the Thunder will finish in third or second place in the Prairie Football Conference.
The team overcame a 17-10 deficit at halftime, and scored 35 unanswered points, to get the win.
The Thunder will travel to Calgary next week when they will take on the Colts.
