It’s a holly jolly Thanksgiving in west-central Saskatchewan as many people woke up to the sight of snow blanketing the area.
Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning Monday morning along the Alberta-Saskatchewan border stretching to North Battleford, where the most snow is expected to land.
Around 10 to 15 centimetres are expected to fall in the area. The snowfall is expected to taper off by late Monday morning.
Highway driving has become troublesome because of the snow.
As of early Monday morning, the Highway Hotline was advising drivers not to travel along many stretches of Highway 16 and 17 in the Maidstone and Lloydminster areas. Travel is not recommended along Highway 16 west of North Battleford, with winter driving conditions in effect from Battleford east to Saskatoon.
