A highway crash between an SUV and truck Saturday afternoon killed one man and sent three others to hospital.
Yorkton RCMP said the collision happened at about 3 p.m. on Highway 47, just north of Willowbrook.
The man driving the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three males travelling in the truck were hurt in the crash.
According to RCMP, the driver was taken to hospital in Yorkton, a second male was transported to hospital in Melville and a third was airlifted to Regina by STARS.
980 CJME has confirmed through a STARS spokesperson that one of the people hurt was a child.
He said the air ambulance service in Saskatchewan does not disclose the age, gender or condition of its patients.
However, the spokesperson did describe the injuries as “traumatic.”
According to the initial investigation by police, the vehicles collided in the northbound lane.
Highway 47 was closed while an RCMP collision reconstructionist helped with the investigation. Traffic restrictions were lifted before 10 p.m.
