Swift Current RCMP are searching for a 26-year-old man after a truck was found partially submerged in a creek.
Shortly after 6 a.m. Friday, RCMP responded to a call from a passerby about the partially submerged truck along Sixth Avenue Northeast.
Police said it appears a red 2014 Dodge truck was southbound on Sixth Avenue Northeast when it left the roadway, crashed through the east guardrail and came to rest in the water.
The passenger portion of the truck is still underwater.
When police arrived, they could not locate the driver of the vehicle but had spoken to the registered owner of the truck, who confirmed they were not driving the vehicle when it left the road.
RCMP are searching for Colton Koop, who may have been in possession of the truck.
Police are trying to confirm his well-being and determine how the vehicle found its way into the body of water.
Anyone with information about Koop’s whereabouts, or information about this collision, is asked to contact the Swift Current RCMP at 306-778-4870.
