Plenty of revellers came out for Regina’s Santa Claus Parade on Sunday afternoon.
For a while, it looked like the event would not be happening, until a new sponsor stepped up to save the tradition, much to the delight of those in attendance.
“We come out every year to see Santa. This is our sixth year,” said Kelly Lato, who was with her family that day.
“We were very sad but we were pretty happy to hear (Wheaton Kia) picked it up and brought it to the north end of the city.”
The parade took a different route this year, travelling north on Albert Street from 2nd Avenue and concluding in the parking lot of Northgate Mall.
There, visitors warmed up, enjoyed a hot drink and took photos with Santa Claus.
