Maybe it’s the matchup. The Calgary / Ottawa Grey Cup in 2016 was the lowest TSN has ever seen for a Grey Cup since they took over. Now it’s another Calgary / Ottawa Grey Cup game that lowered the bar.
There is a lot that goes into this number. People are bored of Calgary being there. Four times in five years and Ottawa has been there three times in the last four years.
The game didn’t exactly hold people as walking through the airport in Edmonton on Monday, I heard two different conversations where someone said they turned on the Green Bay / Minnesota Sunday nighter.
Halftime act Alessia Cara is a great talent but doesn’t have the national recognition that Shania Twain does.
