Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan late Friday afternoon.
As of 4 p.m., areas around Gull Lake, Leader, Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Val Marie and Cypress Hills were listed as impacted.
According to the weather office, between 10 to 20 centimetres — or around four to eight inches — of snow is expected, starting Saturday morning through until Sunday morning.
Environment Canada urges those travelling in the area to be prepared for “quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions,” and “if visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.”
