The search for a missing University of Regina student and rugby player shifted to Wascana Park on Saturday.
Promise Chukwudum, also known as Max, disappeared three weeks ago after friends say he left a house party in the Normanview neighbourhood.
Regina police said his last known whereabouts was in the Marshall Crescent area and have called on the public to help check their yards and sheds for any sign of Chukwudum.
His family once again asked for the public’s help with a search in Wascana Park.
“We want to thank everyone that is supporting our family and this search so far. We need everyone to be on board, to be looking for Promise,” said Max’s sister Chinaza Chukwudum.
Family and friends are gathering at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum on Saturday at noon before forming small teams that will focus on a targeted search of one section of Wascana Park.
Last week, Chinaza said she planned to spend Christmas with her brother and is holding on for hope of any positive news. She’s since been joined by their father, who recently arrived from Nigeria.
“I am pleading with residents of Regina to keep an eye out for my son” said David Chukwudum.
