Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is ending 2018 as the second-most popular premier in the country.
According to an Angus Reid poll, Moe is currently sitting at a 57 per cent approval rating – an increase of five per cent from his rating back in March.
Moe has spent much of 2018 pressing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on a wide-range of issues, including the upcoming carbon tax.
The only other premier with an approval rating above 50 per cent is new Quebec Premier Francois Legault – coming in at a 59 per cent approval rating.
Legault’s Coalition Avenir Quebec took power in October and was the first party since 1966 other than the Quebec Liberals or Parti Quebecois to hold power in the province.
Both Alberta and Manitoba’s premiers find themselves with identical 36 per cent approval ratings to end 2018.
Doug Ford was elected as Ontario’s Premier in June and enters 2019 with a 47 per cent approval rating.
