City of Regina: What’s open, what’s closed for the holidays

The City of Regina has adjusted hours for all its services during the holidays.

All City services are closed on Dec. 25, except for Paratransit.

Civic Offices: Dec. 24, closed at 3 p.m.

Landfill/Garbage: Dec. 24, open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Dec. 26- 29, open 7 a.m. -5:30 p.m.; Dec. 31, open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Jan. 1, closed. Landfill gates close 15 minutes before closing time.

Garbage collection goes to weekly pickups from Dec. 22, 2018 to Jan. 4, 2019. Carts should be rolled out for collection by 7:30 a.m.

Snow storage site: Closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1. The city lists it as weather dependent.

Regina Transit: Dec. 24, regular weekday service. Information Centre and RideLine close at 3 pm.; Dec. 26, same as Sunday service, with Information Centre and RideLine closed; Dec. 31, Ding in the New Year, offering free service, begins at 7 p.m. until 2:15 a.m. RideLine open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Information Centre closed; Jan. 1, no bus service.

Paratransit service: Dec. 24,  6 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Dec. 25, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Dec. 26, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Dec. 31,  Ding in the New Year,  free on New Year’s Eve from 7 p.m. to last pickup at 2:15 a.m.; Jan. 1, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Riverside Memorial Park and Regina Cemeteries: Dec. 24, office open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.; Dec. 26, office closed; Dec. 31, office open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.; Jan. 1, office closed. Gates open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre: Dec. 24, open 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Dec. 26, closed; Dec. 31, open 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Jan. 1, closed.

North West Leisure Centre: Dec. 24, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; leisure swim, hot tub and sauna, 12 to 3 p.m.; Dec. 26, 12 to 6 p.m.; Dec. 31, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; leisure Swim, hot tub and sauna , 12 to 5 p.m.; Jan. 1, 12 to 6 p.m.

Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre: Dec. 24, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; lap swim 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.; leisure swim 12 to 3 p.m.; sauna and hot tub 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Dec. 26, 12 to 6 p.m.; Dec. 31, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; lap swim 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; leisure swim 1 to 5 p.m.; sauna and hot tub 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Jan. 1, 12 to 6 p.m.

Regina Sportplex (Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre): Dec. 24, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Dec. 26, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Dec. 31, 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Jan. 1, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Parking Services: Meters not in effect Dec. 25, Dec., 26 and Jan, 1.

Outdoor arenas: Weather dependent; see online schedule for most accurate information.

Indoor public skate: No indoor skating Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
