A Boxing Day crash west of Regina on Highway 1 had eastbound lanes closed down, delaying traffic for about 90 minutes near Pense.
It involved a SUV and a semi, according to an emailed news release from the RCMP.
A woman driving the SUV pulled onto the highway from a grid road, and then was struck by the semi.
STARS air ambulance was called to the scene, landing a helicopter right on the highway and resulting in the traffic delay. STARS crew members took the woman to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.
The crash happened just after 4 p.m.
The SUV was heavily damaged, and the semi sustained some damage to its front end.
