A Regina man is facing a swath of drug- and gun-related charges following a search warrant in Harbour Landing Thursday night.
It all started when a search warrant was executed by the Regina Police Service’s street gangs unit around 9:30 p.m. at a home in the 5300 block of McKenna Crescent.
The canine, crisis negotiation and special weapons and tactics (SWAT) teams were called in to help.
Afterwards, police found firearms, ammunition, drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The 28-year-old is now facing a number of charges — including possession of a firearm while knowing the serial number has been tampered with and knowing its possession is unauthorized, and trafficking scheduled substances.
He made his first court appearance Friday afternoon.
