As many people recover from a late night, some will be trying to start off the new year by getting a few things done — but that could be cut short if the chores involve the City. Some things are closed or are on reduced hours for the Jan. 1 holiday.
The landfill and snow storage sites are closed Tuesday.
All Regina Public Library branches will be closed Tuesday.
Garbage collection has been changed to weekly, running from Dec. 22, 2018 to Jan. 4, 2019.
There will be no service for Regina Transit on Jan. 1, but Paratransit will be running on holiday hours, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The offices at Riverside Memorial Park and Regina’s cemeteries will be closed on Tuesday, but the gates will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Parking is free at meters in Regina on Jan. 1.
Outdoor arenas will be open, subject to weather as they’re not supervised, but there will be no indoor public skating on Tuesday.

Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre – CLOSED
North West Leisure Centre– OPEN 12 to 6 p.m.
Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre – OPEN 12 to 6 p.m.
Regina Sportplex (Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre) – OPEN 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
