A 36-year-old Rocanville man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 600 early Wednesday morning.
In an emailed news release, RCMP said the man was driving westbound on the highway when the crash happened. The investigation by Mounties shows his truck lost control, entered the eastbound lane and hit the oncoming truck.
The 46-year-old man in the eastbound truck sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Moosomin hospital for treatment.
The crash happened about four miles — or six kilometres — northeast of Rocanville. The road is typically used to reach the potash mine.
RCMP said there’s no indication that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Road conditions at the time of the collision were slippery and ice-covered, the release said.
Rocanville is located 28 kilometres north of Moosomin.
