RCMP have identified a man killed in a hit-and-run on Highway 1 near Maple Creek but they are still looking for a driver.
The victim’s name is not being released, but police say he was a 58-year-old from Metcalfe, Ont., a community near Ottawa.
Police believe the man was hit by a vehicle on Highway 1 near Maple Creek between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on Friday evening. They are asking any drivers who were in the area to report any vehicles they may have noticed travelling eastbound in the same area around the same time.
