It’s hard to take someone seriously when they flat out lie.
No this is not a commentary about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Eric Reid.
Reid was the teammate of Colin Kaepernick who took a knee next to the quarterback.
Reid recently filed a grievance after the Bengals asked him about his protest in a job interview. He lost.
Most recently Reid has been gaining sympathy and fanning flames of outrage at the league because he has been publicly whining about the amount of drug tests he’s had to endure this season in Carolina.
I’ve mentioned the tests seemed fishy and reek of the league trying their best to find some dirt on Reid.
Well, I was half right.
An independent investigation, as requested by the NFL and NFLPA found Reid was overstating the number of tests he endured. He was not tested seven times in 11 games and the true amount was deemed ‘normal’.
Maybe he felt his name wasn’t in the paper enough since he was no longer Kaepernick’s kneeling teammate.
So the next time Reid cries wolf, let’s remember his record for telling the truth is down there with Trump.
