A week after naming long-serving Roughrider Jeremy O’Day as their general manager and vice president of football operations, the team has called a news conference for Friday afternoon.
It’s expected that O’Day will name the team’s new head coach.
He and the Roughriders have reportedly interviewed internal candidates Stephen McAdoo, the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach, and Craig Dickenson, the special teams coordinator, for the job.
There were also reports out this week that the Riders had tried to interview the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ Paul LaPolice and the Ottawa RedBlack’s Jaime Elizondo, both offensive coordinators, earlier this week. But those reports said they were denied permission by each club to speak with them.
The @sskroughriders have called a news conference for 2 pm (Sask time) to introduce their new head coach. #CFL #Riders
