An alleged Regina bike thief was a few spokes short of a full wheel after police said he tried selling the stolen two-wheeler back to the original owner.
According to police, the 38-year-old man nabbed the bike form a garage in the Rosemont area, on the 1200 block of McIntosh Street, on Jan. 9.
Two days later, it’s alleged the same man went the next block up on the street and was spotted trying to steal some recyclables from a home’s backyard.
With the help of video security footage police made an arrest on Wednesday and charged the man with and break and enter, two counts of theft under $5,000 and possession of break instruments.
He’ll appear in provincial court on March 6 to face the charges.
