Super Bowl 53 matches the greatest NFL dynasty ever against the a team with the youngest ever coach and the youngest ever quarterback to be in a Super Bowl.
It seems picking the L.A. Rams would be boarder-line lunacy.
But remember how the Patriots dynasty started. A relatively no-name upstart quarterback named Tom Brady with a coach who was passed over by the Cleveland Browns.
It’s not like the Patriots stood much of a chance against … who were they playing again in 2002? Oh yes, the greatest show on turf, St. Louis Rams.
Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce etc. were supposed to roll over the Patriots. Instead, the upset began nearly two decades of dominance by New England.
Now we go into Super Bowl 53, 17 years after that previous Rams-Patriots contest. And before you discount youth for veteran savvy, remember how the Patriots got started.
Rams 30. Patriots 24.
