Evraz has confirmed a “serious workplace accident” at its steel plant in Regina.
In an emailed statement, the company’s Patrick Waldron told 980 CJME that an employee was hurt at about 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Regina rolling mill.
He was transported to a Regina hospital and remains there as of Wednesday afternoon.
Both Evraz and Occupational Health and Safety are investigating the cause and circumstances around the incident.
Evraz said no other employees were hurt.
