The Saskatchewan Roughriders have gone back to a familiar face at quarterback.
Zach Collaros has signed a one-year contract to remain with the green and white.
Collaros came to the Roughriders early in 2018 in a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Later in the month he agreed to a restructured contract with the team.
It was said that the club had been in contact with Collaros in the lead up to Tuesday’s free agent deadline.
Collaros played 14 regular season games for the Riders in 2018 — missing four games during the regular season. He threw for 2,999 yards, nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
The 30-year-old suffered at least two concussions during the season, one of which caused him to miss the west semi-final against Winnipeg.
This will mark the 30-year-old’s eighth season in the CFL. He’s amassed 16, 758 yards, 92 touchdowns and 51 interceptions over that time.
Collaros started his career in Toronto before moving to Hamilton in 2014.
