People could be toasting with their glasses on Thursday night, or trying to drown their sorrows in them — the CFL will announce which city has been chosen to host the 2020 Grey Cup.
The choices are between Montreal for the Alouettes, Hamilton for the Tiger-cats, and Regina for the Roughriders.
“We feel like we put forth a strong and compelling bid to host the 2020 Grey Cup in our 110th anniversary year where we will be able to showcase Mosaic Stadium and Saskatchewan’s incredible hospitality,” Roughriders President and CEO Craig Reynolds said in a news release.
The announcement will be made at 5:30 p.m. and broadcast live on TSN.
The Riders will have players at viewing parties being hosted at Canadian Brewhouse locations in Regina and Saskatoon.
The restaurant chain is also holding viewing parties in Hamilton.
