CN has provided an update on a train derailment that happened at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday near St-Lazare, Man.
The train was carrying crude oil and there was a partial leak when 37 cars left the tracks.
The company says the leak has been contained and has not “penetrated” the Assiniboine River.
An environmental team has set up a perimeter and will prepare for clean up and remediation.
They are still trying to determine how much oil was spilled.
There were no injuries or fires during the incident.
