The University of Regina Cougars women’s basketball team once again find themselves meeting the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for the Canada West championship.
Both teams swept their semi-finals matchups, setting up an all-Saskatchewan showdown in the finals for the fourth straight year.
The Cougars, who finished first in Canada West this season, travelled to Calgary and knocked off the Dinos this past weekend.
In Friday’s game, the Cougars never trailed once throughout the game en route to the 82-65 series-clinching victory.
The Huskies game was a little bit tighter, with Saskatchewan pulling out the narrow 78-72 win over the Lethbridge Pronghorns.
Home court has proven to be pivotal in the games — the home team has won the championship the previous three seasons.
The Cougars swept the season series during the final weekend of regular season play.
