February has been a long, cold month. Too many days in the -30s and far too many days with wind chill dipping below -40.
A friend posted a picture on Facebook this week from a year ago when they were out for a walk, and puddles lined the sidewalk with little snow to be seen.
It made me start thinking of warmer days ahead with the coming spring.
Spring will come, right?
Baseball regular season begins at the end of March. March Madness is usually a time of year we start to think about going outside, rather than sitting at home watching basketball. Of course, the lead-up to the Masters is in early April.
These are all signs better weather is ahead and we’ll leave our cold February doldrums behind. The forecast says a few more days of frigid temperatures, which I guess just keeps us inside to watch curling as the Kirk Muyres rink tries to end Saskatchewan’s lengthy drought at the Brier.
Or watch to see how these Canadian teams look after the NHL trade deadline.
Although I am tired of looking at … and driving on … ice.
