Two teenagers are facing attempted murder charges in connection with a shooting that occurred in Regina early Saturday.
Donovan Kaisowatum, 18, and a 17-year-old boy appeared in court Monday to face charges of attempted murder using a firearm. The 17-year-old can’t be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
According to the Regina Police Service, officers responded to the area of 8th Avenue and Montague Street around 2 a.m., on Saturday after receiving reports of an injured person.
A 23-year-old man who had been shot was found at the scene and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The two suspects were arrested and charged after an investigation led police to a home on the 1300 block of Montague Street. A search of the house also reportedly found a firearm and ammunition.
