More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
With Jamie Nye away from the Green Zone for a few days, guest host Warren Woods and Producer Mike have been filling our Wiseguys roster with a bevy of characters.
We’ve chatted with Ray Elgaard, Ben Hebert, Milt Stegall and Joan McCusker, allowing us to reminisce with some of our favourite athletes and have a few laughs at the same time. Usually it’s Jamie, Woodsy and me, daily from 4 to 4:30 p.m., talking about trains, music, movies, politics or some of the goings-on in the sports world. The bosses dubbed us “Wiseguys” and we’ve been chuckling about it ever since.
John Gormley has also visited, so we could discuss the Green Bay Packers possibly playing a preseason game in Saskatchewan between updates about the SNC-Lavalin scandal.
Judging by the feedback, it’s been a popular change. Don’t tell our bosses, but maybe anyone can be a Wiseguy. Or maybe the other Wiseguys are just so darned good . . . and smart . . . we can make anyone into a Wiseguy. Regardless, Jamie returns soon and we’re going to let him back into his normal Wiseguy role.
