An arrest has been made in a case from last July, where a man allegedly forced a woman at gunpoint to drive him from Melville to Regina.
On Saturday, RCMP arrested Alvin Lawrence Sunshine at a home on the Ochapowace First Nation.
The 27 year old is charged with break-and-entering to commit kidnapping, using a firearm to commit kidnapping, using a firearm to commit robbery, disguise with intent and three counts of theft.
He is due in Yorkton court on Tuesday.
Update: Sunshine pleaded guilty to four crimes and was sentenced to a total of five years in prison in April 2019; the three counts of theft were stayed. He was also sentenced to provide a DNA sample to police, and to a ban on owning firearms for ten years after his release.
