That’s the question everyone is asking about the NHL Heritage Classic, an outdoor game between the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames slated for Oct. 26 in Regina’s Mosaic Stadium. Tickets will be available April 25.
As a guideline: single-game tickets for Jets home games cost between $77 and $301. For the 2020 Winter Classic on Jan. 1, featuring the Dallas Stars inside the 92,000-seat Cotton Bowl, tickets are priced from $192 to $2,069. American dollars.
Mosaic Stadium seats 33,000. Outdoor games are expensive propositions, plus there should be geographical appeal because Regina is sort of midway between Calgary and Winnipeg. There’s lots of talent on these teams, specifically Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau and Winnipeg’s Patrik Laine.
