The Regina Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred in the city Tuesday evening.
At about 7:40 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Elphinstone Street after receiving a report of an injured person. At the scene, police found a 16-year-old male who had been shot and was laying on the sidewalk. The youth subsequently was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
