Academic staff at the University of Regina could soon be on strike.
The University of Regina Faculty Association (URFA) has served a strike notice, which could start Thursday at 10 a.m.
In an update from the university, it said the strike notice does not necessarily mean there will be a strike. There are two more bargaining dates scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.
The university said it presented its final offer to URFA two weeks ago and hoped its membership would vote on it but that didn’t happen.
The offer was turned down and the university said it remains hopeful URFA will reconsider its position.
