A Regina man who used publicly available Wi-Fi in a City of Regina building to access child pornography has been charged by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.
In a media release Thursday, police say they received a complaint in February detailing the 46-year-old man’s use of the Wi-Fi to access child pornography on his laptop computer. When he was seen doing the same thing Wednesday in the same facility, he was arrested by members of the ICE Unit.
The man’s laptop computer, cellular phone and storage devices were seized by officers and he was charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
His next court date is set for April 17.
